Description

[Hit the green flag twice just to make sure the song starts at exactly the right time] Here's a supremely better version of my previous rhythm game! It's harder, maybe too much harder! (The link to the other game if you're interested below) https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/236374768/ Hit the notes as they fall on the strike line (the blue line above the four keys) using the keys D, F, J, and K. Hold down notes that have smaller notes following them until they are all hit. Unlike the previous version, each note will wait until all notes below them are scored. I took advantage of this, so expect faster rhythms! The number in the middle is your combo and the number at the bottom is your score. A fraction of the combo is added to your score with every note played. Accuracy ranges and their corresponding grades: >90% --> S >80% --> A <80% --> B It's possible to get accuracy above 100% if your combo is high enough. ‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿ Song name is Drop - Granat Getting the project's thumbnail was harder than I thought... Thanks to searching up "scratch how to make a rhythm game" on google, I found a thread where Wild_Koi_Studio gave a useful tutorial on using the timer. I decided to remake my piano game using the timer function instead of music blocks and lo and behold, I've come out with this! This version can use mp3 songs and still sync with notes. Now I don't have to remake songs from scratch as I did with the previous version. Though, there is just one drawback. Look in the "Game Elements" code. See that massive pink column of blocks? See all those meticulously calculated numbers on the left? That took me forever to do. It's almost as bad as recreating songs with music blocks... #osu #mania #stepmania
