Instructions

Please read Notes and Credits. The equation y = Rx(1 – x) ITERATES as a finite SET OF POINTS, NOT a continuous graph. Click on the Green Flag and enter a value for R (R greater than zero and less than 4), and verify that f(x) does ITERATE as a SET of POINTS! Try values for R such as R = 2, 2.5, 3, 3.9 etc. At R = 3.99, the points can be seen to align along the parabola but do not form a continuous graph.

Description

********************************************************************* This project is the 2nd project in the Attractors, Chaos, and Strange Attractors Studio. Visit the Studio at https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/247932/ ********************************************************************* Each iteration produces a point. The set of points lie on the parabola but do not form the graph of the parabola. Again, the parameter R determines the height of the parabola.
