Description

Name: Sea Gender: Female Age: About 13-14 Likes: the ocean, swimming, sea salt, rainy days, moths, scales, deers, forests, midnight, caves, Carmel, red wood trees, yellow raincoats, the color red Dislikes: Being alone, fishing, sushi, people eating fish(she’s half fish or something-still working on that part), hunting, elevators and escalators, malls Sea always had a hard life. Her parents barely raised her, they spent most nights and days away from home. Once they taught her the basic needs of survival, they left her alone. In a land of magic, she was early awaiting her 14th birthday, where your power achieved. Her birthday was around the corner. Her parents stayed farther and farther away than normal, almost as if they were afraid of what power she might hold. Sea suspected nothing of it, and carried on with her normal life. Her boyfriend, McNeil, was having his 14th birthday before her’s. Like it was normal, he stayed at his house and awaited, trying different excersizes to trigger a power. Sea stayed away, as is customary during the weeks of discovery. After a few days, McNeil had become a Mesmer. He could control the movements and actions of others with his mind. Sea and McNeil’s family were very happy. Sea’s birthday was not so fun. She stayed in her room, only leaving for food. She worked tirelessly to trigger a power, and nothing was working. She sighed, and was about to leave defeated, when a book from her bookshelf fell by her foot. She picked it up and it read ‘Forbbiden powers and triggers’ Since none of the regular practices worked, she decided to give it a try. She knew many that were outlawed in the Aquatic realms, but she didn’t know that there were more. Fire, shard, crystal, shadow, mystics were the first chapter in the book. She started out with the mystic power, where one can enchant inanimate objects to do their will, and not much happened. She tried a few other triggers, and same result. She was hesitant on the fire one, but as desperate as she was she started it. Imagining fire swirling through her veins, she tried summon on a flick of fire onto her palm. She heard a crack, then another. She was horrified at the mass of flames that swarmed her bedroom now. Pounding on the door told her she had company. Frightened that she now had a forbidden ability, she leapt out the window as the flames stretched higher and higher. She may be immune to flames, but the smoke still hurts her lungs. Annoyed with her current situation, she decided to head to McNeil’s. He smiled as he saw her coming and took her inside. The golden staircase on her left took up the majority of the room. He led her upstairs as a knock on the door made them freeze. The knock held a chill to it, kind of like someone walking over your grave. Like death was at the door. McNeil opened the door to reveal a tall man with oily black hair standing on the porch. Spotting them, he smiled then everything faded into a bright blue. Keeping her eyes closed the entire time, she couldn’t help to keep thinking of the man’s eyes, the weird color now was the only thing she saw about him. Not the knife in his hand, or the blood on his shirt, but his eyes. As they landed with a thud, she felt McNeil wrap his arms around her. She hugged him back, tears streaming down her face. They were no where near their homes. Asking only a few questions, McNeil started to back away from her. The Man who took the, there just smiled. The pointed grin scared Sea. The uncertainty of what was meant behind it gave her goosebumps. The man lunged for McNeil, grabbing his throat and holding the knife up to him. McNeil whimpered, the threat on his life looming over him. “You choose his fate. Summon your power or he dies.” The man said, his voice sliding down her ears. The man pressed the knife into McNeil’s neck harder, drawing a steam of blood. Feeling empty, Sea called flames to her hand. The flames consumed everything. They looked hungry, and ready to burn. With a flick of her finger, the man holding McNeil was bathed in flames. Sea’s smile soon faded as she realized that he wasn’t burning. His grin grew wider as she stumbled backward. The man controlled flames as well.
