Aaron was a prince, young, greedy and brash. Everyone could see that. After his parents died, he was to become king, until Lotus the cat, a rebel leader against the king's rule, cast him out after finding out he sold the kingdom for fool's gold, they also chased off the would-be buyer. But that wasn't enough for Lotus, she wanted Aaron gone- for good. So she sent out her trusted friend, Acacia, to hunt him down and bring him back. She found him in a small oasis, accompanied by the cat who tried to con him for the kingdom, an ex-pirate who owed a few debts and figured offering a kingdom would suffice. Oddly enough, Acacia was charmed by Aaron, found him fun, although occasionally brash, she fell in love with him. Ruth, the pirate, noted this and pointed it out to Aaron, who was annoyed, but Ruth said they could use this to get back at the rebels. Now, Aaron was on board with that plan. With Acacia helping him sneak back into the kingdom, he reestablished his reign as king. Acacia was hopeful, he was youthful and carefree when she met him, although she knew he could be selfish. But after getting his kingdom back, he was not only selfish, he was still greedy, he was brash, and his banishment served no good lesson, instead, it taught him to protect his possessions with everything he had, yes he was wrathful now, jaded and suspicious. Thinking even less of his people. Lotus kept protesting, making speeches. Aaron's guards advised him not to make a move, harming, or even imprisoning Lotus could move the people to revolt. And Lotus knew this. She one day went into the town square, protesting, lamenting her ire towards the king. This brought the attention of the guards and Aaron, there he stood, having to stand aside while Lotus preached. He was the king, he thought, feeling wrathful. He could do whatever he wanted. The onlookers who attended Lotus's speech never saw it coming. Neither did Lotus. They were horrified. Acacia was horrified. Lotus was dead. They were too scared to have thoughts of revolt, and Aaron never had a problem with them since. But Acacia? Acacia would never forgive him. Art by me, music by The Score.
