Have any of you ever seen the music video to this song? The whole thing sort of looks like a bad video game rendering, and as the guy is singing and moving around the world, everything is filling up with water. Houses, streets, and there are no humans in sight. And every time he says "we live in a beautiful world", you're just left with the haunting feeling that we /don't/.
