Instructions

Click the flag. Three types of Meadowkin are randomly placed across the screen. Each type is vulnerable to peer pressure from one other type. A Meadowkin named "Ton" is a Binger, eating a ton of Glitterberries. A Meadowkin named "One" is a Nibbler and eats just one berry. The third type, an Abstainer, eats "None" and is so named. A Nibbler neighboring three or more Nibblers converts to Binger. A Binger neighboring three or more Abstainer converts to Abstainer. An Abstainer neighboring three or more Nibblers converts to Nibbler. Neighboring means "next to" including diagonals. This simulates our board game "Meadowkin": https://lifepatternsemerging.com/meadowkin/ The above process repeats 50 times. Click spacebar to make it go for another 50 rounds.

Description

Chris Keane wrote this program based on our (Flock Ecogame's) board game "Meadowkin" See other simulations of our game at https://lifepatternsemerging.com/meadowkin/ Each type is vulnerable to peer pressure from one other type. For example a Nibbler is vulnerable to become a Binger if neighboring three or more Bingers. If next to three or more of that type, the vulnerable Meadowkin converts to that. By neighbors we mean "next to" including diagonals (a Meadowkin could be next to up to eight others). When you click on a tile the program counts its neighbors of each type.
