Design and character by @TMOAD, I only did the art. Name: "Tex" is a nickname he adopted for himself a few years back, finding it awkward to have no given name. Gender: Male Backstory/about: Tex is a menacing, yet surprisingly kind shape-shifter. He's the kind of guy who'd help you with your homework, or in most cases, appear in the middle of the night on your doorstep to help you solve a missing person case or predict a natural disaster. Elusive and hard to find, he wanders around the world, drawn to certain places by a bad feeling. He cannot predict the future, but he can tell when something horrible will happen. But recently, within the last fifty years, he's also found himself drawn to people's doorstep, to warn them and enlist their help. He's seen too many tragedies to take no for an answer, so if he thinks you can help, he will. And that's it. Ever since then he's never let a single person he's gotten a bad feeling about die, stay missing, or even get hurt. Sometimes, well, most of the time he doesn't know who needs to protect, how or why, but as long as he finds the right person to help, the both of them could find clues to get the person out of harm's way. It's annoying for him only because he doesn't like humans knowing about his existence. He's constantly stressed due to this 'bad feeling' he has, and the longer he goes without solving it, the worse it feels. The most heartbreaking, worrying part is when it stops. When it goes away completely and he knows he's too late. Sometimes though, once he saves someone with the help of his new friend, he doesn't get another bad feeling for a while, so he gets to be with this person who he dragged out of bed in the middle of the night to solve the case, to just talk, vent, and he feels safe and calm. And just when he starts to wish this could last forever, he feels the dread come back, and the draw to its source, far away from where he is, far away from his new friend and their comfort, as he forms strong friendships quickly... but someone needs his help. So he sets off to do it all over again. *sigh* *yeehaws into the void*
