Okay so, here's just another OC. I know he's not very good, he was originally drawn in vector, but then there are things that bitmap can do that vector can't, etc, so basically this was a switching-back-and-forth sort of thing. (It looks like the stars in the background are the only vector thing left.) The really tiny stars can't be seen unless it went full screen. His artificial species has a strong, heavy thick jaw, blunt canine teeth, a wide, large nose, blunt claws (not seen in this pose), and claws on the feet like hooves. He is 2001 (21 for short.)
This is organism 2001, of a genetic project that lasted perhaps 30 years. This project included taking whatever DNA the geneticists could find for as far around the galaxy and seeing how many different kinds of creature's DNA they could effectively fit in a single cell. It turns out to be a lot, but there's a limit. 2001 was one of many. But he was different. Somehow, his specific genetic coding enabled a balance of the right chemicals to make him start thinking, just a little more. As time went on, this little bit in turn lead to more advanced capability of thought. He became more and more self-conscious. The scientists started to perfect their genetic manipulation technique. Then, they wanted to use their artificial species for purposes other than just hanging around. They started taking most of them and selling them as pollution-environment testers. Others they used as computer regulators. Still others they started to prepare as soldiers. But 21? He started to yearn for discovery of what was beyond the station, his birthplace, his home. He started to realize what would probably soon become of him. One day, he planned an escape from the realized prison. To be continued... This my official OC.
