After you've viewed the project, comment ways you can save the ocean, or remix with your own ideas! .·:*¨¨*:·.♥ M O R E W A Y S T O H E L P ♥.·:*¨¨*:·. ➡ Dispose of plastic rubbish responsibly (Reduce, reuse, recycle!) ➡ Pick up 5 items of plastic at your local beach ➡ Buy food/items in bulk, as there is less plastic packaging ➡ Don't buy bottled water, bring your own drink bottle ➡ Reduce energy consumption (turn off your lights, take short showers) ➡ Consume less meat (one pound of beef uses 1847 gallons of water!) ➡ Influence change, by supporting environmental organizations, participate in a beach/river cleanup, discussing plastic waste, making projects to spread awareness ➡ Join the earth studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/5815983/ *NOTE - although plastic pollution is a huge problem, it is not the only danger to our oceans. Oil spills, overfishing, and ocean acidification are also big threats. I encourage you to research the ocean to better understand these dangers! @Squidy_man: "Global Warming and Climate Change are also affecting the ocean, as the excess CO2 is absorbed by the ocean, causing it to become acidic. The acidic water then eats away at the shells of many organisms, and this process can destroy whole food chains. It is called Ocean Acidification.
