I remember I worked the night shift at a gas station called Quick Mart. It was fairly simple. I had to sweep the floors, stock the shelves, and clean the bathrooms. I had one other co-worker. On this particular night, the phone wasn't working, and the bathroom's doors were stuck, so We couldn't clean the bathroom. Everything is going smoothly till a white van pulls up to a gas pump, or, at least, I thought he was. He circled around the store really slow, and at one point he was so close to the door I could hear the music coming from the van. After he pulled into the road, I asked my co-worker about it, but she said it was probably nothing. For the next Hour and a half, things are fairly normal. Then a man walks in. I looked outside, but I didn't see a car. I assume he just walked. I asked the man how I could help him, and he asked If I was alone. I said no, and that my co-worker was in the back room. He then walks around very slowly, eyeing every item. He after what seems like hours brings a beer to the counter. I take the money, and he walks out. And then I hear it. The unmistakeable sound of a door opening. I grab a pack of cigarretes to throw at whoever's in the back room. I open the door to find the back entrance has been opened. I ran out and found that both the bathrooms were opened. I open the boys bathroom and find the guy, asleep, an ax sitting beside him on the floor. I call the police and they take him away. I never worked the nightshift again after that.
