Description

A quick note: This is simply my own interpretation of the concept of the backrooms, and it is in no way related to (or canon for) any currently existing lore. The project likely won't be getting any changes or updates past this point, but I seriously appreciate you all checking it out and enjoying it! "If you're not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in. God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as he(ck) has heard you..." < the backrooms > fullscreen recommended controls: press space to use flashlight press the arrows to navigate your objective is to find the exit, while keeping your sanity up dev notes: -the exit appears randomly, however, as more rooms are explored, the exit becomes more likely to show up -much more content is planned for the future to make the game have more substance -this is my first honest attempt at making something at least remotely creepy so your feedback would be appreciated what's new in the latest version (v1.3.1): -brightened the entire game a little bit -nerfed the rate at which battery life decreases -tweaked some audio -made an event less rare version history: (v1.3): -added a prompt that gives brief gameplay instructions -added flashlight battery life -more (extremely small) graphical changes (v1.2): -main menu added -some sprite changes -changed the behavior of victory confetti -other minor changes (v1.1): -added sanity >use flashlight to recharge sanity >if left alone in the dark for too long, character will die from losing their mind -adjusted how lights flicker -changed the likeliness of, and how, the exit appears #Backrooms #Horror
