If you haven't worked with colored pencils before, look V V in the notes and credits! V V Sorry for all the awkward lighting changes also srry if it doesn’t work? This works best on a computer.... Some common mistakes to not make: Adding too much highlight! Drawing the eyelashes straight rather than curved Making the eye an almond-like shape Forgetting about the waterline Not blending enough colors for the iris 377 views?!?! Check out my other tutorial here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/316248605/ How to blend colored pencils: Practice this on a separate sheet of paper. Lay down your first color, be very light handed, and keep each pencil stroke close together, stay consistent with the direction of your back and forth motion. Select your second color that you want to blend, layer this color on top, but choose a different stroke direction to stay consistent with. Each time you layer a new color, change the stroke direction. Good colored pencil brands (in order of affordability): Prismacolor Derwent (any pencils from their professional line) Faber-Castel polychromes (i use these often), Caran d’ache luminance (I use these most often) Paper to use: Use drawing paper of at least about 90 pounds (the weight of the paper is usually written on the front of the pad) Colors to get: primary Red, Magenta, primary Blue, Cyan, primary yellow, ivory/titanium buff, white, black. These colors can blend to almost anything. All art, photos, and reference photo: Me @Salt3y Music: Miles Davis & Charlie Parker - A Night In Tunisia #art #tutorial #eye
