Turbo mode for faster refreshes. To click a head, wait for the entire hydra to be redrawn, move your mouse until the x-position of the mouse is the closest to that of the head you want to click and a yellow box appears around that head, and click. When you cut off a head, the joint under it duplicates itself plus everything growing on it other than the head you just clicked. The "root joint" at the bottom of the screen is just for decoration and cannot split. Joints are not clickable but turn into clickable heads once they are exposed.
Look up "hydra game" for the official rules. Takes like 30 something clicks to kill the whole hydra.
