For Lunalas_Mask's RP! Power (extended): Noelle can unconsciously feel the emotions of those close to her proximity, with this ability intensifying greatly if she touches someone. However, she can normally block out much of this stimuli consciously, so as to avoid any intense emotions that could harm her. She can also give warmth, strength, and energy to others (and small areas in her environment) by touching them, but it becomes dangerous for her if she overexerts herself. If Noelle reaches the point of temporarily exhausting herself completely, the ball of light on her neck/chest becomes slightly dimmer, she becomes tired and weak as well as perilously vulnerable during that time and, in addition to becoming extremely sensitive to her environment, loses the ability to block out the emotions of others that she touches. Her body also feels heavier, and when she runs she feels as if her legs move through molasses. She generally can't run very far before they give out completely, leaving her collapsed on the ground until she is able to get back up again. Her emotional and physical state become liable to fluctuate a bit depending on the environment she's in, and also have the potential to change suddenly when in contact with another individual. If a person Noelle touches has neutral or positive emotions, nothing of major consequence happens; but if the person she touches is harboring negative intentions or is experiencing strong enough negative emotions, the ball of light will go almost completely dark-- and she will feel nothing but pain, fear, and despair until she recovers. She also becomes more likely to lash out at others. From the time Noelle tires herself out by overusing her power, it can take between several hours to a day for her to recover (though if she became "corrupted" during that time by negative emotions, it can take longer). The process can be sped up by being close to others that give off good vibes, being in peaceful surroundings, and/or by having a good amount of rest. When Noelle has rested enough for her power to return, the ball of light on her body shines like normal. Noelle fears the consequences of overusing her power, but she also likes to help others. When she does push herself too far, she quickly tries to hide away in a calm and quiet area far from others so that she can rest and recover... Personality (might update): Noelle is cautious, gentle, and a bit of an introvert-- She fears being a bother to others, and gets nervous easily in social situations. However, she is also good-natured and very easy to make smile. She's energetic, playful, and enjoys music as well as being surrounded by nature. She tends to daydream often, and is very easily distracted. Despite her social awkwardness, she's quick to lend a hand to those in need. Backstory (WIP): ~to be added~ Other (might update): -The ball of light on her body acts differently according to her emotions: ~When she is joyful, it glows at its brightest (but not in her vulnerable state) ~When she is resting or deep in thought, the light pulses slowly instead of being a steady glow ~When she is angry or frustrated, its tinge becomes slightly redder -She enjoys sleeping, and dislikes being woken up too early -She doesn't like chilly temperatures and can get cold easily -She also risks falling into her vulnerable state by tiring herself out physically, but she keeps better track of the limits of her physical stamina than she does for her power -Normally wears a scarf to be a bit less conspicuous
