(not apart of the story)Name: Clovis Age: 3 (Story: 383 words) Clovis took a deep breath. Flashes. The memories he lost coming back in just glimpses. He couldn’t see clearly. It was all dark, and with darkness there was no light. Where was he? He remembered a fight. He remembered the day, a rainy, dark day and he remembered his crown. But now it was all gone, faded and fake. He hid. He hid in the darkest part of his mind. There he found it all. The shadow that killed him, that gave him his ball and chain, that forced him to hide. His brother. Who he got his scars from. His splotted, star-like fur glowed admist the empty space of his mind. His crown glowed faintly. He was a young king, but he still had a life to live. His brother was wrong to eradicate him. He remembered a day of sorrow, his parents funeral. The rain pattered on the city behind them, filling the air with sound. Tears leaked from Clovis’s eyelids. A blinding light made him open them and sheild his eyes. The light was welcoming. He glided over to it and place a paw on it. Doing so, Clovis tipped forward into it. He landed with a thud in the castle hallway. Why am I here? He wondered as he looked down the empty hallway. He heard paws running down the hallway, and turned around just as they galloped through him. His eyes wide, he didn’t quite understand what had happedned. He tried placing a paw on the door across from him, but it didn’t work. He kept going through it. He cried out a little, scared. A ghost, at such a young age. With his head hanging, he walked toward the throne room. Walking a way down the red carpet, He saw the family painting that hung above the throne room. His brother, the fake crown painted on his head, out of place and forced in. He on the other hand, was torn out of the painting, jagged tears ran through it, leaving it a mess. What was once pure, was now twisted and dark. Clovis shuddered. His brother had ruined many things. Including Clovis’s life. But now that was gone. He took a deep breath and retreated back to the emptiness of his mind. And there he hid.
