╔═.♥.════════════════════════════════╗ ♡【 Excerpt 】♡ ╚════════════════════════════════.♥.═╝ *A dark-haired girl ran through a strange forest, stumbling over rocks and sticks. An arrow whizzed through the air, only just missing the girl, and landing in the trunk of a nearby tree. The echoes of shouting voices rang through the dark forest. More arrows hit tree trunks and the hard, mossy ground, but the girl kept running. The arrows had shiny, carved obsidian heads, and a small bunch of eagle feathers at the tip. The arrows were made out of a dark wood, and covered in scratches. BANG!! The sound came from somewhere to the left of the girl. Surprisingly, the girl turned sharply and ran towards the noise. More arrows came out of nowhere, but the shouting dimmed. The girl seemed to be running out of breath. She was slowing down, and her shoulders were drooping. She started to slow to a walk, breathing heavily. A hidden trapdoor opened up beneath her, and she fell down…. down…. down… * I awakened to the sun shining through my purple curtained window. I sat upright in my bed, which was almost completely covered with pillows in all shades of purple. I sat there for a moment, thinking about my strange dream, trying to recount every single detail. Had it been real? No, it couldn’t have. Those things only happen in stories... * = italics
