The new hope colony was originally many different colonies, that banded together in fear of Mystic clan. They usually roam around, having no actually territory or camp and are very peaceful. My idea is an antagonist told them that Mystic clan was planning to stop their peaceful ways, and turn them into slave. They believed that antagonist and prepared for battle.
