(End of) 2020 Update: Uh, it seems some time between now and when I wrote the text below, these games are working again? Scratch can be such a volatile platform :P Well, looks like Scratch 3.0 broke all my games that use this style of collision detection. Welp.
BETA 2 NOTES: - A few refinements to rolling down slopes. - I have discovered that you can roll in midair, Sonic Triple Trouble style by pressing down. -Parallax scrolling is implemented. -Sonic actually looks up and down Sonic 1 style when you press up or down while standing still. -Sonic now has "bored animations". -I have added music so that it is less "empty". - When you are in the little alcove all the way to the right, look down. How can you get there? Yes, the beta of a demo! This is the demo of my upcoming game, Sonic & Tails. It will, like Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles, have Tails tagging along for the ride. In this beta of a demo, however I only have Sonic working. It's not perfect, but it's got a lot of things working semi-accurately, like: Smooth X and Y scrolling Authentic Sonic sprites Rolling physics (going faster when rolling downhill, and not being able to change your momentum with a roll-jump) Controls: Arrow Keys Left/Right: Move Arrow Keys Up: Look Up Arrow Keys Down (While Standing Still): Crouch Arrow Keys Down (While Moving): Roll Space Bar: Jump Enjoy!
