Try this improved version plz: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/315918593/ Minate's Cringequest is a turn-based game where you must make inputs to increase attack power and react to enemy attacks. No RNG or button-mashing is included because they're pretty annoying. (NOTE: This is not a mobile-friendly game.) ---AAAA HOW DO I PLAY!?!?!?!--- Minate has 3 main options: -Action - Minate's attacks -Hammerspace - A funny word for Inventory -Concentrate - Allows Minate to react to an attack easier and increase his PX more. There are four different types of Actions; Combo, Smash, Ranged, and Special attacks. Each type of move requires different inputs to increase their power: -For Combo (green), press the Z, X, C or V buttons in the order shown. -For Smash (yellow), hold Z to move the line shown and release as close as you can to the end of the bar. -For Ranged (red), press Space (or any of the aforementioned keys) when the moving line is near the middle line. Additional lines will appear on either side and you'll have to press space again when they're near your line. -For Special (blue), press the key shown when the moving line is in the yellow box in the middle. The key will shift occasionally. Minate has 1 Combo, 2 Smash, 2 Ranged, and 1 Special move(s). Moves of the same type have the same power in this demo, so it doesn't matter if you choose to use Rod Slam or Jolting Punch, etc. Electricity-based attacks require PX. All Smash moves need 5 points, Ranged moves need 30, and the Special move needs 75. You gain 10 PX per turn (15 if you had concentrated). If there are more than one enemy, select the one you intend to use an attack on with the arrow keys and spacebar (unless you're using Lightning Show, which hits all enemies). When an enemy attacks, text will appear over them to show what kind of move they're about to use. Press Z when the moving line is in the small green zone to Dodge, and don't mess it up. Press X when the line is in either the yellow or green zone to Block. Dodging will avoid most enemy attacks, while Blocking reduces damage. Keep in mind that Dodging won't avoid all moves and Blocking won't be very effective on others. Try to remember what each enemy move does so that you'll know how to react to each of them. Also, it's pretty hard to use at first. You don't have a lot of frames to react. Too long; didn't read? I hope you're a tactile learner. ---WHATS IN HERE??????--- If you get bored of the red stickmen, you can look inside and edit the enemy type (see Noobs sprite) to see what other monstrosities will appear in Cringequest.
---C2A!... JUST KIDDING!!!!!--- Contains spoofs of Undertale and FNaF characters. Major credit to @Alzter for helping me with the battle engine. A few things were made using Inkscape here. ---FINAL NOTES AND STUFFS--- This game is more of an open beta than a demo, so a lot of things will be changed in the final product. -Music and some sound effects are required -Visual effects need work -Engine may have a few bugs I don't know about at the moment -Extra stats need to be added to encourage strategy -Gameplay also needs work Hopefully you liked this game so far, and I'd appreciate feedback. I may make another demo when I make more updates. Also I nEED MUSIC
