Description

Credit to Railmation, and Cajon Pass train gifs. On September 12, 2008, a Metrolink commuter train pulled by F59PH 855 crashed head-on into a Union Pacific local freight train pulled by UP SD70Ace's 8485 and 8491. The cause of the wreck was the engineer of the Metrolink train texting while driving, causing him to run a red signal and traverse onto a single track section of the line.
