If you play on mobile then press the top right button. Press e while under tree to get sticks. Trees have between 1 and 3 sticks but no more fall once you collected them. Arrow/joy stick to move. Press 'C' to open crafting thing. To make a fire you need 6 sticks and 1 match. click on the fire then drag it from your inventory to the place where you want it.
