THIS IS ENTRY ONE I have made another, here is the link- https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/297107027/ I have come back to life to enter this :v Here she is, watching the sky, studying bird that are totally there off-screen >:'') I cant draw clouds :'> Backstory: Erin(haha pun) had been born on a ship, which crashed a few days later on a strange island. The crew of jackals had no way to reach out for help, so they spent their time trying to make boats to escape, but with the dangerous waters, the crew members were slowly killed off, leaving only three. Erin's mother didn't want to risk sailing back, so she instead stayed in their huts which the crew had made, making new inventions that were beneficial on the island but not particularly helpful for escape. Her mother had grown to love the island, and had tried to convince everyone to stay rather than try to leave. A year passed, and Erin had followed in her mothers’ footprints when it came to inventing, making small trinkets that did small, otherwise thought as useless tasks, though they were helpful at some points. Tragedy hit, and like every Disney movie i stg her mother had been pierced through the heart by a heron beak whilst looking for wood, killing her instantly. How ironic that a creature of the island she so loved had been her downfall. The last crew member found her body, and was unsure of what to do, with a child now relying on him, he couldn’t risk escape with her. He ended up leaving her behind on the island, too desperate to escape then try to save her. Erin set to work reading her mother's sloppily done blue prints etched onto the surface of a large slap on the center of the hut. She got to work trying to learn to build bigger inventions to try and leave, because she felt betrayed and wanted to get away from the island that killed her mother. She was successful in recreating previous inventions and got to work on making her own that could allow her freedom but without the inevitable danger of the water. Watching the island birds and the particular heron that stuck around (maybe it felt bad for accidentally killing her mother, so it tried to protect her when that crew member didnt), she was able to make a set of wooden wings, and through much trial and error, finally made a working pair. Up in the air, she had a new view of her life, and how small her huts and past now seemed. She realized that she didnt want to put her trust in strangers, like how she was forced to do, because she didnt know how people were, as she had only had her crew members in her life. She evidently decided to stay, making new inventions and exploring new islands. and yes, she eventually forgave the heron I love this character so much, @StormieDraws how do you come up with all of these beautiful designs like it was hard to choose which one to do, but I instantly fell in love with this character, the browns and soft orange pinks are just fnJHKJDAHBKg you know? I saw this, and I KNEW i had to draw her i love her heck but thank you for giving me a chance <3
