I'm a cat known for a lot of things. My personality, my home, and most of all, my lifestyle. Some cats think me crazy, others rumor I'm cursed, and a few believe I'm the descendant of a mud monster who was killed by a bird made of gold after he angered a mystical keeper of trees. When I heard that, I fell over laughing. The things some cats will do to cover up the truth is NUTS! Let me explain how I got into this before you think I'm a swamp creature. My name is Moss. I used to be normal, ordinary, average. The kind of cat you'd find at any old village. But that was before the hurricane. I was one of the only survivors... my entire family was lost forever. They never really cared much about me anyways, but my mother had tried her best and my siblings had too, but I was always a bit of a show off. My two friends and most of the village either drowned or ran for their lives. It was just me, a few other cats, most of which I'd never met, and Heliconia. Heliconia had never liked me, if not considered me a complete dork. She used to be a friend, but betrayed me, Sparrow, and Rio, my other best friends for her 'new buds'. Anyways, I was forced to find a home somewhere else. I met a lot of cats on the way. First of all, Lark. She helped me to find a place to find home. I took a while, but we finally found a small town, this one. There was only one shelter left... and Heliconia beat us to it. We fought, and by the time we were done, Heliconia was dead and Lark was badly wounded. I tried to forget that I had just KILLED another cat, but Lark too would die if I didn’t get her help soon. The town healer couldn’t do anything for her. I didn’t want to live in a place where I had been responsible for so much pain, so I made my home in the outskirts of the town. The other cats of this town think I’m weird because a witness told them I was cursed or whatever to cover up the fact that they were wrong about me being an arrogant coward. They also think I’m an idiot for not living in a place that I rightfully took. I’m also making a few paintings of my adventure, but I’ve only finished the mud monster one. ~Yours truly, Moss ღ
