DUE DATE: Early-mid January, or when all characters have at least one entry [Space/Arrow Keys to navigate] RULES: 1. Absolutely, under no circumstances, will tracing, use of bases or recoloring be tolerated. If I see that you are using one, you will be disqualified for the DTA, and maybe future ones too (Even if you are the only entry for a design, NO BASES) 2. No self-pity - Saying things such as "I have no chance of winning will automatically make me less inclined to pick you as a winner. It just makes you look like you can't do anything, and that's not what I want. (If anyone says anything like this on one of your entries, please tell me.) 3. No badmouthing - basically the same as Rule #2) DO NOT put down other artists in this competition, otherwise, I will definitely not pick you, and you might be put on a blacklist. If I do put you on a blacklist (will be put on on my profile), you will be unable to join any future contests or ask for requests. 4. PLEASE actually use the character - If I visit your profile I should at least be able to see the character in a separate project besides the entry itself. 5. Because the characters are rather simple, I am allowing you to change anything necessary. You can change the species, the hue of the colors, patterns, etc. However, please make sure that it is recognizable; and remember, nothing is officially changed unless you win the character! *If you do decide to change any patterns or colors, I'd prefer a drawing of the original design in your style hidden in the project, with the updated/preferred design displayed as a regular entry. This makes things easier to keep track of on my part, as to who's entering for who. Of course, you don't have to, but it is preferred.* 5. You can enter for as many as you want. However, you can only win up to 2 (For now, that number may increase) Ways to increase your chance of winning: Add a bio - Not required, but it makes it look like you will actually use the character (which is what I want) Animation - Anything ranging from storylines to animation memes count, as long a there is effort put into it, and it's your art. Multiple drawings- Show your love for the character! More drawings mean a higher chance you might use it outside the DTA if you win. Theme music! -Although this does seem like a weird request, adding music to the project may give the character more emphasis on their motivations. It doesn't have to be much, but it may also help someone else connect with their backstory. Of course, all of these are optional, but they would be preferred; It helps me know that you do have an interest in these characters! If you have read the rules, comment which one you're entering for. (Color or number) 1st Follower: @CandlesInTheDark 100th Follower: @cs1030920
(You can change the description of the characters, this is just how I see them as.) #1 - Red - This cat didn't really sign up to be with a demon, but hey, it's just life, right? Anyways, this unhappy duo seems to have a ravenous appetite, (and I wonder who's to blame for that) as well as generally being unhappy and tired. Maybe they need a hug? #2 - Kangy - Some sort of Kangaroo-Aardvark hybrid, this beasts seems friendly enough. Having wings helps her travel, and they seem to be happy overall. Not much else is known about her; maybe you can find out! #3 - Orange - A Windigo-esque beast, he prefers to stand on two legs. This would show off their massive size, as well as making them a formidable opponent. They have retractable teeth, and only use them when eating or fighting. An inverted ribcage along their back prevents back attacks, and piggyback rides; unless, they want to retract them. #4 - Yellow - This cat does NOT seem to be one of the chill types. They have the tendency to be on edge and can drool a foul-smelling poison from their mouth. Along with its scorpion tail, and multiple legs, this cat isn't the creature you'd want to mess with. They probably put on war paint. #5 - Pupper - With a strong soul at heart, this Doberman won't let anything stand in its way! Despite the lack of a leg, they are full of energy and ready to take on any challenge. #6 - Green - A bug-like dragon, this guy doesn't seem too happy about many things. Their third eyelid dims their eyes, making them look uninterested in some things. Or maybe they're just bored. Who knows? #7 - Blue - Crabby, and with an attitude. Their tail is twice as long as their body; held with a series of orange ribbons (ribbons are optional, but remember the length) Has a bioluminescent pattern that glows in water and in the dark. (How it looks is up to you!) #8 - Indigo - A telekinetic beast, they seemed to have mastered the ability of object manipulation. They seem to be ill-spoken as well. #9 - Violet - Shy, with a tendency to avoid others. Sharp teeth and bright yellow luminescent bulbs make them seem like a threat more than a friend. They don't really like others being afraid of them, but they don't know how to change that. #10 - Whisper - This creature seems to like roaming the galaxies in search of new adventures. It never wants to leave its favorite scarf behind. although they might not look like much, they seem to be rather adventurous, more than others. #11 - Branch - Supposedly mute, this beast seems to be more active in spring and summer, while appearing less in fall, and not at all in winter. It is unknown if it hibernates or migrates, but it doesn't seem to speak much. It is fiercely protective of the apple that its snake-tail hoists and only the bravest of people go after it. Though, they wouldn't mind giving it to you if you decided to become friends.
