11/6/2021: I've decided to remake Bitmap Waffle entirely. I've been stuck on the planning for the final boss for a while, and honestly, I think I am going to need to have to rewrite the story and the gameplay entirely. I am planning to add improvements to a large portion of the game. This may mean that the proposed revamp may now be the sequel. I will finish it soon. Expect: - Revisions to levels - A more comprehensible storyline - More secret levels - A use for coins - Things to break. It's supposed to be somewhat hard. It has the Metallic Madness theme from Sonic CD. ...and I still haven't made the skip level feature. It should be easy to make. It's been made now, so press space+a to access it (really don't use it though, it will probably break the game). 1/18/2020: Finally went ahead and made the boss level. I also made 7 more levels for a total of 101 levels! The cutscene was removed because I didn't really like it. I should make the skip level feature. 6/10/2019: omg someone actually remixed this, technically this is still an unfinished game because i haven't finished (also thanks for liking it, @jbm_quogue) level 93 6/5/2019: - Nerfed level 20 (this should be the LAST change for previous boss levels) - I've sort of speedrun the entire game again, and all levels are possible up to cutscene (with 25 deaths) 5/31/2019: MORE DUMB BOSS FIXES - Levels nerfed: 8, 20, 49, 76, etc. - Boss sprite will not glitch with the rising lava, changed main sprite costume - maybe more..? 5/4/2019: this ain't dead yet 4/17/2019: Fixed 2 very important bugs (rising lava appearing in levels before waffle tower phase 2 and some more rising lava bugs) and nerfed level 5, added near perfect (up to 5 deaths). Respawn code is finally it's own individual code. Other levels may be nerfed too. I'm also thinking about what to do at level 100. 4/13/2019: 92 levels, a cutscene is being developed. (waffle tower is meant to be somewhat harder than the other levels) 4/12/2019: Waffle Tower - Phase 2 is beginning. 87 levels. 4/11/2019: 77 LEVELS. New Powerup: ENERGY. The end of the Waffle Tower will come in the mid 80s. Then, a new dimension awaits... The Outside world will connect with the Waffle Tower at some point. - Changes to level 6 to make it easier to get the coin - There is 60 levels as of this writing (not including the levels from part 1). 3/6/2019: Added Perfect Run capability: You must have no deaths (true perfect: all coins, although there is no capability yet). Meet this criteria, and starting at level 20, the game will consider if you are in a perfect run. If you are, the variable text will change, until you get a death on a stage. (This means that all stages ARE possible if someone gets a perfect run, which should be obvious. Tested up to level 44, but should be the same for 45-47, basically all the levels) 3 NEW LEVELS FOR BLUE CAVE! Changed level 40 due to glitches. Sound effects have been added.
