Description

This is the first ever of its kind on Scratch: a fully functional polynomial graphing calculator, AND a scientific calculator feature! (Although the scientific calculator still needs work, it can operate for most computations) When you want to enter an equation, you have to enter it in differently. Here are the steps: 1) Enter in the number of terms in the equation (examples of terms are 4, -10, 5x, -22x^6, etc.) 2) For every term, enter the coefficent, or real number before a variable if there is one. 3) For every term, enter the degree of the corresponding variable, which is its nth power. (x to the third power has a degree of 3 while x itself has a degree of 1) 4) When you've precisely entered the values, hit the Graph button to let Scratch do all the calculations between the minimum and maximum x values, at increments of 1/100 the distance between them. 5) When the graph is done, you can select a point on it by hitting the Find Point button, which will give you a rounded estimate at the point you click on. Scroll over the Find Point button to see the previous point. 6) If you didn't get a clear visual of the graph, you can slide the Scale to increase or decrease the maximum range your graph can extend. 7) If you need a system plotted, hit the New button and repeat steps 1-4. 8) When you are done, hit the clear button to erase everything on the graph.
