Chapter Two - Attack! ~ Tiny paws thrummed against the forest floor as Flower sped off toward her family's camp. He lungs screamed for air, but she couldn't stop until she had safely reached home. Ferns slapped her face as she plunged through the entrance, tumbling onto the rocky surface of the camp. "Mother!" She called. "Father! I'm home!" No reply. Panic seared through Flower, and she frantically dashed around the clearing, calling out for her parents. /They promised they would be here when I get back!/ Suddenly, her paw slid on a leaf, causing her to slam into the large stone wall that halfway surrounded their camp. She screeched, falling back as darkness engulfed her. For what seemed like moons, he lay, half unconscious, until she finally heard the ferns in the entrance swish at the arrival of cats. "Flower!" Her mother and father called. She wanted to call back, but couldn't. Suddenly, the ferns swished again. The next few moments were all a blur, the slashing of claws, the terrible screeching of her parents. Flower's mind drifted into the darkness as consciousness gave way. Just before she lost connection to the world around her, a dark voice spoke. "They're dead." Flower froze with absolute horror. She knew that voice. "The kit?" Said another voice. She knew that one too. "Dead." Meowed the dark voice as the cat prodded her. As the murderer's pawsteps faded away, her consciousness finally gave way, the world turned black.
