Description

Mouse click or Space bar to pause. We went down to Mount Desert Island (Maine) to see the huricane waves hitting the rocky coast. It was pretty intense, even though these are only 7 to 9 foot swells (they got much higher closer to the center of the storm in places like New York and New Jersey). These 25 frames looked the most impressive so I shrunk them down to Scratch stage size with Paint.Net and stuck them in this animation. If you've got any hurricane Sandy projects to share, feel free to put them in my gallery. The waves sound clip I got from a free sound effects site years ago - unfortunately, I can't recall which one it was. Credit to nmcconnell for the idea of having the sound pause when the project is paused. Of course, I actually just stop it and restart it, since there is no way to pause in the middle of a sound clip.
