The Sega CD was an add-on for the Sega Genesis. It allowed games to be played on a Compact Disk. This also allowed games with full motion video and CD Quality Audio. Unfortunately, it was ill-fated and eventually stopped selling a few years later. The Sega CD was one of the last efforts (Along with the Sega 32x) to keep the Genesis alive. It was an interesting system, however, and it was unique at the time, but the technology was just too young. Today, the Sega CD is 20 years old, and many people still remember it today. It was popular for FMV games such as Night Trap, Sewer Shark, Ground Zero Texas and Slam City with Scottie Pippen.
