The book is so good that he just sits there for days, doing nothing but reading. Birds come along and they poop (purposefully or accidentally, we don't know) and it lands on the person. He doesn't even move or get mad at the birds because he has his undivided attention on the book (supposedly about Scratch). Do you know anyone who reads for days without breaks and will be so focused on their book that they don't even care if a bird poops on them? I don't!
