Instructions

Greetings, young ones. I understand that you are here for the knowledge I possess. Well then... GOOD FOR YOU because I intend to tell you everything! XD So today's lesson is Ear twitch, a very useful animation to know if you animate cats and dogs or other creatures. Before we begin: I highly recommending getting Medibang or Firealpaca for drawing. The layers option will help with this. Both are free to download, but if you don't want to that is totally fine. Step 1- (press space) Draw a head. I'm using a simple head, with stick figure eyes and no patterns or colors. This is just for practice so you can get an idea of how to draw this, so the head can be as simple or complicated you want, as long as it has ears. Step 2- (press space) If you are using a program like firealpaca or Medibang, make a new layer and draw a copy of the ear, but place it a little tilted. If you are using scratch, draw the new ear in red over the old one. Step 3- (space) Delete the old ear. If you are using scratch, turn the red ear black. Step 4- (space) Repeat process, but put the ear perfectly horizontal. Step 5- (space) Delete the old ear again. Step 6- (space) Draw the ear with a slight curve, a little lower. Delete old ear. Step 7- (space) Repeat step 3, continue to lower ear Step 8- (space) Put ear all the way down. Step 9- (space) Pull the ear back up a little, leaving the tip in the exact same position. Step 10- (space) Repeat step 9, but bring the ear tip up. Step 11- (space) Put the ear horizontal again. Step 12- (space) and bring the ear back to its old position. Step 13- (Press 1) Your animation should look a little something like this. You can look inside to get an idea of how to time it. Don;t freak out if your animation has some red bits or small little pieces of the old ear leftover, that happens. ^^ Now hopefully you all understood that. Your homework will be due on the 22th.

Description

Here's my ear flick! (see Take 1) The cat is kinda creepy-looking, but that's just because I wanted it to look like that X3. ---------------------------------------------------------------- The next ear flick (see Take 2) is less wave-looking and more ear flick looking (I think). Also, it's true bulge OwO Thank you, @-ArtemisaBean-, for this lesson. These lessons are already giving me ideas on better animating!
