Some of my many characters I made. This song relates to all of them. It honestly makes me cry inside. Read their backstories, warning: while listening to the song and reading backstories, you may experience some shedding of tears. In order: Rune: Family kicked him out, failed his job to protect a child from the ghosts that haunt Ka'r. He became close to the child but found out that he was ghost-bound, and had to be a( killed or b( taken away from the child and abandoned from all society. He wasn't killed, so he was abandoned. He has been living in the ghost/monster-ridden forest of Ka'r. He hopes to one day see his child again. Mire: fought in the war for Burn. Her mother, being a mudwing mother, left her but her father, a sandwing, kept her and raised her. They became close. Fighting in Burn's battles left her scarred on the inside and outside. Her father died in one battle where his squadron was ambushed. Being torn apart by that news, she left the army after the war. Gremboy: Gremboy is a silisk, a silver-toothed dragon. He was the runt of his family and no one wanted him. After being thrown away, he set out to find someplace to live. He had to fight in the streets over food to survive. He nearly died so many times, the pain has numbed him. Aiedail: He was a newly hatched dragon, born to his ridder, Reya. Their bond became a strong one, often conversing through thought than any other means. They fought together, flew together, and did everything together. One day Reya tried to flee her captor's custody and be free with Aiedail, but they were caught quickly and were forced to fight or surrender. They fought, but that was the last fight Aeidail had with his ridder before he was killed. Basil: Basil was always an unwanted dragon. Too... unusual and different. He had a furry tail and had a slippery hide. Dragons were sent to kill him because he had insight on important information, but no one wanted it or him. so he has been forced to hide with no one to cover him. He is more scarred on the inside than most dragons are. Kara: Kara was forced to leave the living world without her friend, Caroo. She kept returning to the living world to find Caroo but kept dying each time. In one visit, she found Caroo and he told her, " You don't have to keep dying, you can let go now. I will be there" And then she died one last time with Caroo. Caroo: Caroo watched his lover die, and he never saw her after that. One day he spotted a shadowed version of her. He knew he was going to die soon, so he held her paws and told her that when she died, he would be waiting for her. He kept that promise.
