Description

Paramecium exhibit a behavior called thigmotaxis. When a paramecium strikes another object, it swims backwards a short distance, turns through a small angle to the left or right and moves forward until striking another object. This is called thigmotaxis. In the robotic world, it's called the random mouse algorithm for escaping a maze. It works, over time, but is very inefficient.
