Instructions

* MOBILE FRIENDLY * Full instructions in game. Click with your mouse or tap a tile in the grid to place the next piece of pipe. Alternatively, use arrow keys or WASD to move the red cursor, and press space bar to place the pipe piece. Contain the "flooz" in your pipeline for at least the minimum distance to progress to the next level! After every four levels there is a bonus level, with different rules... Later levels introduce single-direction tiles, blocking tiles, reservoirs and portals. On some of the later levels, as well as achieving the minimum distance, you also need to end your pipeline at the end tile. Passwords can be remembered and used to practice on the more complicated levels. You get a different password every four levels. Discussion topic here:- https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/340497/

Description

Pipe Mania was a puzzle game developed in 1989 by The Assembly Line for the Amiga. It was also ported to several other platforms by Lucasfilm games, sometimes under the name of Pipe Dream. This is not meant to be an exact copy of any particular version of the game, as it takes some features from different versions. The music in this project comes from the BBC Micro version of the game and it is truly awful for which I apologise! The thumbnail screen, logo and little man were taken from the Windows version of the game. All other graphics were created by me. The "Tetris" bonus level idea comes from the BBC Micro version of the game. The "Sliding puzzle" bonus level idea comes from the Windows version of the game. Thanks to @gor-dee for the cloud top ten scoreboard engine, and the text engine and font. This is my first real attempt at using Pen to do things in Scratch, and I think it works reasonably well. I thought this would be a nice easy project to do, but setting up some of the higher levels and making sure that they were not impossible was quite a challenge! #games #strategy #puzzle #retro #mobile #description(A retro puzzle game where you have to build a network of pipes before the time runs out.)
