LCM can be found from two lists of multiples. The first number that occurs in both lists is the Lowest Common Multiple. If Tom counts in 3s and Emmy counts in 4s. The first number they will both say is 12 (Tom's 4th number and Emmy's 3rd). This project allows for a third list of multiples. If Jim was to join in and count in 5s, the three lists would have to be longer, because Tom would say 60 (as his 20th number, Emmy would say 60 as her 15th number and Jim's 12th number would be 60). 60 is the LCM of 3, 4 and 5.
What is the least number of multiples of 3, 4 and 5 to reach the LCM of 60? (HInt: Study Tom's list of multiples of 3)
