In each round, you are dealt 3 cards. Click "stay" if you think you are going to win, or click "drop" to forfeit if you think you are going to lose. The game continues until someone cannot pay or only one player stays in. On the main menu, click "?" for more detailed instructions. For those of you who don't know poker hands, the "?" on the main menu explains how ranking the cards works, as well. For those of you who do know poker hands, keep in mind that in "Drop Guts", there are only high cards, pairs, and 3's-of-a-kind. There are NO straights, flushes, or anything higher. Win games to get money! You can buy some new things in the shop to customize your poker table. Your good friends finally came home from college! What better way to celebrate than by playing "Drop Guts"? This game is dedicated to my high school friends. Now we are all in college, so we do not see each other often. But when we do, we like to have poker nights for fun! And, when we do, "Drop Guts" is a common favorite. Aside from the strange name, it is a very simple game to play, and one of us ends up stealing a lot of poker chips from others. Of course, we play for fun, not for money. The name "Drop Guts" comes from your decisions during the game. Will you "drop" your cards? Or do you have the "guts" to stay in? This is a good example of a game to teach you the benefits and the dangers of gambling. Since we're all on Scratch, you will not be losing any real-life money. This was a fun game to code. I think most of the programming work came from determining which player had the winning hand. This is a good programming challenge for anyone to try in any language.
