Use WASD or the Arrow keys to move. Fish = 10 Calories Seal = 50 Calories Press Green Flag to Restart --------------------------- -Global Warming is making the Arctic heat up, and you, a polar bear, need to survive. -Collect the fish and seals to keep your calories from running out, but watch out for the melting ice! -When the Earth's temperature is higher, the ice will melt faster, and food will appear less. -Moving and swimming will make your calories run out faster, so try to conserve energy. -The square in the upper-right will occasionally tell you what's happening in the outside world, and how it affects your polar bear. -Thanks to @Will_Wam for the gravity coding! I made the rest though.
(This is the informational part. Actual credits are in instructions) Polar bears in the Arctic are having their lives ruined by global warming. For example, the warm temperatures make the sea ice that they are living on melt, making them have to constantly move from place to place. Ecologist George Dunner compares it to “living on a treadmill that has picked up speed” (GWMLTfAa-RPB 1). In addition to this, the extra calories being burned by the extra walking means that the bears must hunt for more food. This makes the food, like fish or seals, much more scarce. Eventually, all the food would be gone, and the polar bears would starve to death. These two problems combined makes the bears more stressed, which would lead to them having an even HARDER time hunting and walking. That is how global warming is affecting polar bears.
