Hey guys! Long time no see! I've been really busy these days with writing and music. Though I've been inactive on Scratch for a long time, I thought I'd come back to official say goodbye (!!!woah!!!) as well as show you what I'm doing these days. This is a song I wrote, recorded, and produced all by myself in my bedroom (and I'm super proud of it!) :'D I wish I could tell the depressed fifteen-year-old version of myself (I'm nineteen now) how good she was going to get at production, and that even she would be able to make her insane rabid goose screaming voice sound decent! You can thank my dad for the crisp quality of my voice, haha. He gave me this Blue Yeti mic as a birthday present and I've been making good use of it ever since... Also, while I'm giving credit and stuff, the picture (sorry for the poor quality) is a photo I took myself a few years ago and edited on a site called Canva. Canva's great if you wanna make pretty cards and book covers and stuff. There's some great fonts even if you only use the free version. Oh yeah, and I made the song itself on Logic Pro, which is like GarageBand but with a lot more tools and a lot more professional. And in terms of *inspiration* for this here ditty? Neovaii. He is an amazing producer and a king at what he does. If you listen to his song "Honeymoon" you'll hear these epic vocal chops and crisp production. Ever since I heard that song I wanted to emulate what he does! My second inspiration is love songs from the eighties. Or...not exactly love songs, but songs about heartbreak and trials and tribulations of romance? There's something about eighties' music that really captures my imagination.
