Lightly double-click that green flag. It's fragile, don't click too hard. Use the up and down arrow keys to dodge attacks once the battle starts. Press Z to progress through dialoge. Pressing the right arrow key will make you attack the enemy, but if you get hit while attacking, the attack is cancelled. Find a gap in the attack pattern of the enemy to attack. Type "done" to play the game.
