In reverse chronological order, this is just about every piece of Emara fanart I've ever made that you guys haven't seen yet lol **All characters belong to Eating Stars Studios and the Emara cartoon!** (prepare yourself for some of it to be bad btw, I debated over including them but I think it's worth remembering that we start from somewhere and then improve ^^) If you want to know when exactly they were made, they are dated in the project's costumes! (the first 3, I'll tell you, were made today.) 1. Ali. I'm trying out watercolor-type brushes in Photoshop right now, and I actually like them! I did mess up his arm and hand... but that's why I have to keep practicing I guess >w< This is a gradient-mapped shading piece (it is a useful technique, try it out sometime!) 2. A new character for season 2, Dhalia! I'm excited that they indirectly confirmed the season and also that this character looks cool! She's a Palestinian mechanic. I'm not 100% on the colors, but overall I like the result for the first time drawing her. 3. Dhabian. Messed up his upper arm, but I like the form for the rest of the drawing. I started with a base palette from the internet, but varied on it as I went on. 4. The quality (both in terms of pixellation and goodness) varies from here on out. This is some practice face drawing of Sultan. It's not from too long ago, so it still looks fine lol 5. Direct line practice with Emara and Dhabian. They're not too bad, I was focusing more on realistic figures -- some parts of each drawing look weird though ^^; 6. Emara and Dhabian as Ladybug and Chat Noir! You have to admit, they are kind of similar shows in nature... I like these for the poses, actually, but um the next one is 7. Ali and Zeina as Natalie and Hawk Moth (also from Miraculous Ladybug) xDDD I'm really not a fan of these drawings! Maybe if I tried them again sometime, I could rework them into looking good, but right now this is a hard NOPE haha 8. Zeina. I'm okay with this one, actually; she looks kinda sad, though. I was trying to work with less saturated colors and a more realistic style than the show. 9. Ali... oh god haha I always mess up Ali somehow. His hair and eyes look bizarre in this drawing >m< anyway this was another go at 8's realistic style, but with Ali. 10. Zeina. By the way, I like both Zeina and Ali as characters for some reason, even if they are antagonists sort of! Zeina's just such a boss, and Ali is hilariously angry like all the time. This was one of my first tries at gradient mapping, hence the colors looking this way. I think I could have done better with this pose, but it was okay. The second one of this set though... 11. Ali again oh noo what happened to you... again, testing out gradient mapping for shading (this color palette was kind of a prototype for the process I shared of Ali with you in like Sept.) 12. Emara and Dhabian, action pose! This is one of the first drawings I ever did of the series, the rest are following. 13. Emara. Her face and left hand turned out kinda weird, but this is around when I started pushing my shading further, so I am grateful to the drawing haha ^u^ 14. Moza and Sultan. I like the colors here actually, I kinda forgot about this one! Apparently this was when I still thought very sketchy lines looked okay though (I'm sorry Sultan lol) 15.
