After Racoonspirit's death, Runningstar wasn't the only cat who was heartbroken, their son, Oatkit, also suffered greatly. He had watched his mother's death before his very eyes, what made it worse is that his father died in the battle with the rouges as Oatkit got rescued. An orphan, maybe, but his parents' spirits still live on beside him. That's why his warrior name, was Oatspirit, after his mother, and the spirits that walk with him.
