Get all of the stars, and then head to the dark world to defeat mega evil kitty! Use the arrow keys to move around. When you reach the left or right border, you will move to the next screen. Press i to check your inventory. Press U then type item name to use it. (Not everything can be used this way.) Move into an object to interact with it. Look inside to try and find a way to do a secret thing.
