Chapter 21 - November 4, 2017 - Tempest I shut the door, trying not to slam it, as to not catch anybody’s attention. What on earth did he just do? Whatever that was, it surely gives me the right to hate him. To hate Vincent. I sat down on an armchair and sighed. Then I heard a knock on the window. Who would that be, in this horrid weather, so desperate to find me? It could only be him— Vincent. After what you just did, you expect me to open a window for you so you can apologize? I thought. I considered not even looking to see who was there, but I knew too well it could be someone else, like Genesis or Alana. I cracked open the shade to see who it was. I was relieved— it wasn’t Vincent, but it wasn’t Genesis— or Alana, for that matter. Why, just why did it have to be you, I thought. Of all people, it had to be Royce; why. I tentatively opened the window.
