Instructions

Hey guess what? This game is mobile-friendly. MechOm is a relatively simplistic strategy game with inspiration from classic indie games. You control squads of three types of robots, which you must use in a battle of tactical rock-paper-scissors against enemy robots of the same types. The main objective is to destroy the tunnel at the other side. [HOW TO PLAY] To scroll around the map, use the arrow keys/A and D or hover your mouse to the side. At the bottom right is your energy. A squad of robots must be charged with 160 energy points. You generate energy automatically. At the bottom left are your squad options. Click one to send. There are three types of squads: Shocktroops are fast robots with blasters and come in squads of 5. Marksbots have long-ranged, armour-piercing railguns and come in squads of 4. Defenders have a laser, but also a large, durable shield. They come in squads of 4. Shocktroops beat Marksbots which beat Defenders which beat Shocktroops. All the robots march by default. Toggling on Charging mode (with that big button that says CHARGE) makes all robots move faster except for Marksbots. But keep in mind that Charging will slow down energy production. [A BIT OF LORE] It's the future, where all weapons have been banned aside from law-controlling robots. A secret company has stolen the tech behind them for their own evil purposes. You control the good side, and you must destroy the enemy's facilities. These battles, however, may only be the beginning.

Description

[NOTES AND TIPS] -The best way to win is to group robot squads together (usually two at a time) Sending them one at a time makes them vulnerable. -When making formations, it's usually best to send Marksbots last because of how fragile they are. (USUALLY) -Use Charging wisely. Shocktroops/Defenders will skid after charging, which leaves them vulnerable for a second or few. It also slows energy production and may break your formation. -Try using the keyboard shortcuts as indicated over the buttons. -The enemy AI will try to counter your robot squads. Try to outsmart it. [CREDITS] Just about all of this was made by me aside from the music (OST of Strategy Defence 3) and the sound effects. [VERSION HISTORY] If you have seen any bugs, please let me know. v1.0 - Game released! v1.1 - Improved AI, got rid of bug that Vex mentioned, and fixed enemy robots not showing up again after being defeated.
