"Darkflight, come back! I didn't mean it that way!" Diamondheart leapt as the black she-cat swung round and hissed at her. "How can I forgive you and come back and pretend this never happened?" "Please, just try!" Darkflight felt like clawing her ears off. "How could you have sided with the Dark Forest and then pretended not to? I trusted you!" she hissed. Diamondheart shook her head. "I never meant it to be like this. Please, come back with me to WindClan," she begged. "No. I don't know who I can trust, so I won't trust anyone. I'll live as a loner. And don't try and make me stay. Just don't," Darkflight snarled. "I'll be forgotten, but at least you'll be happy," she added on cynically. "Tell Onestar about this. All of it." After her speech, Darkflight walked away from her littermate. For a split second, she was outlined on the ridge, but then she was gone, only StarClan knows where. Diamondheart looked after her, tail drooping.
