Fitting as the 'sequel' to Just Want To Be Stable, this is an animation about carbon-14 decay and the idea of getting to a more stable configuration. STORY (read before/during/after watching animation): It starts off with a single atom of Carbon-14, an atom with an unstable nucleus. Inside the nucleus, there are lots of protons and neutrons happily vibrating and oscillating. But there's a single unhappy neutron. He sighs. Then, he realizes that what he sighed out was a strange new particle - a W boson! The boson flips one of his down quarks into an up quark, turning him into a proton. Now that the nucleus is stable (the nucleus of Nitrogen-14), the now-proton is happy that the place he lives is more stable. He turns to thank the W boson, but it decays into an electron and neutrino. Surprised, he turns back, and joins the other nucleons.
