Description

edit: GUYS. OPEN = YOU CAN MAKE ONE! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ASKKKKK -- Wichlins are an open species designed by me, @-StarryyEyed- on scratch. -- press space to see some examples + scale note: no base sheet for you to color off of. I want you all to draw your own so that your creativity really flies!! INFO ABOUT WICHLINS [READ IF YOU WANT TO MAKE ONE OR I WILL YELL AT YOU] TL;DR they're sentient mushrooms with witchhat-shaped domes and they have a power source which changes per wichlin! also they don't have arms and they're all dark-colored. ig you can change eye color, but it stays fairly light. mouth visibility is up to you. Wichlins are pixie-like creatures who live in the wild. They are technically related to mushrooms, as the hat-like appendage on their head is similar to the dome of a mushroom. However, they are sentient and can walk around. Wichlins do not have arms, per se. Instead, the hair which grows from the bottom of their hat is used to grab things and manipulate the environment. Most wichlins have vine-like appendages as hair, comparable to an octopus's tentacles, but a few have something different. For example, the wichlin I made for @Sinful-Torch has flames sprouting from it. Wichlins were named for their witch-like appearance. Originally called "Little Witches," a studier of wichlins misspoke and called them "Witchilits". The name stuck for a while and gradually turned into "wichlin" over time. Wichlin's large, hatlike structures shield their eyes during the day. Their eyes, as well as their dark complexion, are designed for nighttime. Some wichlins have elements of themselves which glow!! Wichlins are, indeed, magical creatures, to an extent. Each has a power source or something which strengthens their brand of magic. I will use my two created wichlins as an example: Tea's wichlin uses tea leaves or similar plants as their source of power. Specifically, the leaves make their vine hair healthier and extend longer. Tea does not have a magic power. They would ideally survive best in an environment with lots of tea leaves. Simber's heat telekinesis relies on the presence of heat energy. The more heat in the area and in the object she moves, the longer they can use her power before the object grows cold. They would survive best in very hot climates, such as in a volcano. Wichlin cloaks are not part of their body, but they enjoy weaving and wearing them. They are cultural and shield from cold. Most wichlins have some means of gathering their source of power, usually in some sort of bag they designed to their liking. Most wichlins have brown somewhere on their body. edit: [PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD USE THE BRIGHTEST COLORS YOU WANT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS ON COLOR OTHER THAN THEIR DARK SKIN] [AND EVEN THAT CAN BE CHANGED IF YOU WANT LOL] Some wichlins keep weapons for self defense! For example, Simber has a variety of heat-absorpent knives they made out of pieces of aluminum. Wichlins typically keep to themselves or other wichlins, but some make companions with other spirits, animals, and very VERY rarely humans. Wichlins are very small creatures, as the scale slide shows! WICHLIN BIO FILL OUT SHEET Name: Height: (very short -> very tall) Cloak length: (short -> long) Ideal Habitat: (optional) Power: (optional, it's seriously recommended you don't try to force a power) DESIGN TIPS: Don't just give your wichlin a normal hat like tea's wichlin (a default wichlin). Go crazy! Heck, give em a fedora X'D Similarly, go crazy with the collar style. It's art, not reality owo Add some accessories! If you'd like a power for your wichlin, try to think of how you could tie it in to their power source. Maybe your wichlin can blast stuff out of their feet and fly, but needs a resource to fuel them! Wichlin magic is very weak and usually nonexistent, with their energy source sustaining them and improving their hair health.
