This is the template for a lesson about the interactions between the cattle drives and the railroads in 19th century Texas. Students should create an animation with cows traveling up one of the trails to the railroad where they're loaded onto trains and taken to Chicago. Extension: Students could figure out roughly how many miles the cows would have to walk and how many miles they would be on the train from their onboarding site. If you use this template with your students, please let me know!
