Create a sum of 17 by dragging your mouse over the grid. If your selection sums to 17 your score increases and the numbers you selected are removed from the game. Your score is defined by the product of your selection and how many numbers you have left when the timer runs out (the bar at the top reaches the bottom), so try and use as many numbers as possible in one go and get rid of the zeros with low scoring numbers.
