Eaglestar's Dream Chapter 1: The Birth of a Leader ~BLOOD WARNING!~ The den was dark and cold, the moss damp from the dawn's dew. Against the dark orange rays the rising sun was casting, a dark brown shecat peered out of the cave at the dark figures fighting outside. Cats were fighting against a large pack of ravenous coyotes. Several cats had already fallen, and same with coyotes. The dark brown shecat's eyes widened as three large coyotes started to storm towards the nursary. She unsheathed her claws, her blue eyes glinting with rage, and lunged at one, drilling her claws directly through its windpipe and killing it instantly. She lunged at another, but she felt a powerful bite on her scruff which flung her into the air. She crashed into the nursary wall and landed like a ragdoll. Her eyes opened slightly, and she saw both coyotes charging for her once more. She leaped up, landing on the back of one of the coyotes, and slammed its head harshly into the ground, knocking it unconscious. She leaped off it and faced the other one, blood dripping from her neck and her tail lashing fiercely. She charged at the coyote, but it dodged and bit her shoulder hard. He ripped the flesh off her shoulderblade and swallowed, licking his lips for more. The shecat's blue eyes clouded and she collapsed. "Bearheart! Bearheart!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A small brown tabby kit wriggled on the mossy floor of the dark nursary, her tiny eyes unopened slits. A ginger and tan tom with black paws loomed over her, his green eyes filled with sadness yet control. He turned to the golden dappled shecat who was laying on her side nearby, a light silvery blue tabby shekit nursing. "Goldfur, she has nobody else, will you please take her?" the ginger tom begged, his green eyes solemn. The brown tabby kit mewed and inched her way to the smell of milk coming from the dappled golden shecat. "Its not like she has anyone else, and I have milk to spare..." Goldfur thought aloud, "I'll take her. At least Icekit will have a friend." "Please, take good care of her." "I will." New Characters: Bearheart - brown and white shecat with deep blue eyes (now deceased) Ferretstar - Ginger and tan tom with green eyes and black paws Goldfur - Golden dappled queen with green eyes Eaglekit - Brown tabby shekit with deep blue eyes Icekit - Light silvery blue tabby shekit with icy blue eyes
Sorry that the chapter is short ;n; I couldnt think of anything else to write XD But YAY I ACTUALLY DID IT YAY YAY YAY IM REALLY GOING THROUGH WITH IT YAY Oh wait...this just means I have something else to do....
